About UsThe Business Enterprise Centre- Owen Sound and Area opened it’s doors in 2000 to meet the needs of entrepreneurs and small business owners. BEC provides a complete Business Resource Centre experience where Entrepreneurs can find assistance, expertise and information for the purpose of starting, growing or expanding a small business. BEC provides support and guidance to local business owners. BEC is an innovative alliance and its services are made available through a founding partnership between The City of Owen Sound and The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. Our office partners include the Business Development Bank of Canada, Bruce Community Futures Development Corporation and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. Advisory BoardThe Advisory Board of the Enterprise Centre is a partnership between the business community and representatives of the organizations with which the operating agreement is struck. They meet quarterly to hear Enterprise Centre plans and projects, and to give their input to and feedback from community needs and options in support of business.
