Summerfolk Music and Crafts Festival

The annual Summerfolk Music and Crafts Festival has been held at Owen
Sound's Kelso Beach for over a quarter of a century. Held in August, it
is the largest event organized by the Georgian Bay Folk Society to promote
folk music in the Owen Sound region.
Kelso Beach, on the shore of Georgian Bay, is one of the most beautiful
sites on the folk festival circuit. Located in the heart of Owen Sound,
Kelso Beach adds to the family-oriented nature of Summerfolk with its
large family area and sandy beach.
The weekend's music range covers contemporary, blues, spoken word, gospel
and children's performances.
Displays, sales and demonstrations of contemporary and traditional crafts
are spread throughout the site grounds. A wide variety of food booths
offer mouth watering meal and snack choices. Free parking is available.
